Eurogym 2012 – part 6

Hi!

So this will be the last part of the Eurogym series, so I can start blogging about fashion again. 🙂 There will come some bonus materials from the Eurogym event later on, so it isn’t finished yet!

Enjoy this last part for now:

Thursday was the last day, and we went to our last workshops. The first one was Rope skipping, there will come pictures in the bonus materials, because I don’t have pictures of that yet. The last workshop was Capoeira which is a martial arts. In capoeira it looks like you dance and fight at the same time, that is how much I can describe it. I was pretty bad at the fighting thing, but I think I did well in the “dance” part. Here is a picture of the fighting part:

In the evening we had our ending ceremony where we got to perform one of our workshops. As i told my team decided to go with Latin dance, and me and my partner got the lead role in the dance. I was very excited to get the lead, where I had to faint and be carried. Here is a picture of that:

Everyone on my team decided to dress up for the ending ceremony, and here is a picture of me and my sweethearts in our dresses:

 

After the show there was a big firework and party. Here is some pictures of the firework (even though I don’t like firework very much, this was the most beautiful thing I ever seen):

 

 

 

Now Eurogym was over, and we had to say goodbye to all our new friends we made, the very beautiful country, and the heat I am going to miss so much ❤

Eurogym 2012 – part 5

Hi guys!

I got something very special for you today, and that is pictures from the AMAZING gala show at Eurogym! There was picked out all the best gymnast between all the participants at this big gymnastic event, to perform at the gala show! How amazing is that?! Eurogym 2012 – part 3

Hi Guys!

So I finally have part 3 ready for you, hop you will enjoy it!

Tuesday morning started with workshops in the morning. First we had Latin dance, witch was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed that and my team was loving it as well. I am diffidently gonna try that again if I decide to go back to Portugal one day! That is the thing I really love about workshops, you try something you normally wouldn’t do, and  then figure out that it is actually really fun, and you want to try it some more.

The newt workshop we had was Dance fusion, also a lot of fun, but as you might can tell I enjoyed Latin dance even more. 😛

Out of all workshops we had, we got to choose if we wanted to perform one of the workshops for the ending ceremony. Half of my team chose Latin dance (surprise!!) and the rest of the team decided not to perform anything, but just enjoy the show. More of that will come in the last Eurogym series, so stay tuned for that 😀

Everyday we had lunch at Estádio Universitário, in a big tent as u can see in the picture bellow.

 

Lunch time was literally crazy! So much noise xD People was singing, screaming, clapping, laughing etc. It was even hard to here what the person next to you said, but it was a lot of fun. Then we were all given a number, where one between all the 4000 gymnast had the same number as your self, and that was your “twin”. My number was 1188, but I did not find my twin :(( sorry twin-1188!!! So at lunch time there were people holding signs up with there twin number, and when they found there twin there was a lot of clapping and yelling! So sad i didn’t find mine!

After the lunch we had our gymnastic performance, and as I promised you I would make sure to have some more pictures of that for you. So here is some pictures I was meant to show you in part 2 + the pictures from Thursday’s show. Enjoy!

Eurogym 2012 – part 2

Hi everyone!

As promised here is part 2:
Monday we went exploring the city one more time, here is some pictures:

After a long walk exploring, we went to a park to “relax” a little before hour gymnastic performance. Here is some photos of that:

 

Well, it was the first time I ever saw a palm tree, so I needed to have a picture with that. I didn’t know they was that huge!!

 

I know we was suppose to relax, but gymnastic is hour part time job, so off curse we make a little fun with gymnastics while relaxing 🙂
Now to the performance, I don’t have that many pictures of that yet, but I will make sure to get some more, and even get a video of hour performance for you guys to see 🙂

Eurogym 2012 – part 1

Hi there!

As I promised long time ago I was going to make a diary for you guys about my trip to Coimbra in Portugal. Here it is:

The trip started the 14th of July, and I was home back in Denmark again July 20th.
The journey started at 10 am Saturday morning, when I met my team at our training center. Here is a picture of us before we left:

 

As u can see wee all got matching shirts 🙂 After that we took the bus to Copenhagen airport. It was I believe a three-four hour long ride until we got there. Now the nerves began to quiver for us who had not tried to fly before. But in short time we was up in the air, and the view was so beautiful!

 

I believe this picture was taken over Holland, and it is so beautiful, don’t you think?
First stop was Amsterdam, and then to the next plain to Lisbon. After the long flight some of us was very tired, but we still needed 3 hours in bus until we arrived to Coimbra. We only got 4 hours of sleep that night, but we didn’t feel tired at all, because of the new adventure that waited for us!
First day we walked around in the beautiful city Coimbra. It was truly the most beautiful city I ever seen, and I am definitely going back next year! Here is some pictures of the beautiful city:

 

 

 

 

 

We walked a long way, and it was only going up, and up, and up. But we could enjoy the beautiful view on the way up. This is a picture of me when we got to the top 🙂
After the long walk, there was only more walking to come, because now the parade started. I love the parades, because then u get to be the center of attention on the streets, u almost feel royal xD Here is some pictures from the parade:

 

After the parade we ended in a big stadium where the opening ceremony started.
